For calm and confident parenting.. Missed attending a BabyNatal class while you were pregnant? New baby and have questions you want to ask? Want to explore issues around sleeping, feeding, calming etc?
This is a 4 part course for parents during the first 6 months of having their baby. It's a chance for parents to gain some peer support, make new friends, share experiences and learn some new skills! These normally take place over a several weeks on a weekend, to enable dad to attend as well as mum.
(While these classes are for mum & dad, some sessions are also run for mums-only and some for dads-only where people would like - please talk to your BabyNatal teacher to find out more).
The groups provide a relaxed, friendly and supportive atmosphere in which to openly talk about your life as parents. You will get to meet other parents with babies of a similar age, make friends, explore ideas, get support and have a cuppa!
As with all BabyNatal classes, we are simply here to faciliate as you explore your options, expectations and experiences to help you decide what is best for your baby, yourself and your family. Our teachers are friendly and professionally trained. All our teachers are accredited by UK antenatal regulator FEDANT.
Each class lasts 2 hours, and the issues discussed depend on the group, but often include feeding, sleeping, colic, the difference between expectations and the reality of parenthood, weaning, relationships with family, being a working parent and so on.
The sessions are relaxed and informal, and both mum & dad are both welcome with their baby.
